Touch
Baby begins to explore the world through touch – they are fascinated by feeling various textures and materials. Their tactile senses develop very quickly from birth, and they can soon distinguish between hard and soft, smooth and rough. Clip Clop Dingly Dangly has textured materials and surfaces for baby to explore.
Sound
Most babies have good hearing from birth and are very aware of noises in their environment. A newborn baby will become ‘still’ when hearing new sounds and will turn their head towards the source of the sound. The colourful beads in Clip Clop’s feet create rattle sounds for baby to listen to as they bat, grab or shake Clip Clop during floor play, or while hanging from the stroller, car seat or capsule.
Motor Skills
Babies have jerky, uncoordinated movements at birth but begin to hit and swat at hanging objects. As baby grows they will change from batting at Clip Clop to make him rattle, to using their little fingers to grasp at his arms and legs, developing both fine and gross motor skills.
Sight
From birth, babies are drawn to movement and colour. Bright colours and contrasting patterns catch baby’s attention and help to exercise visual perception. Clip Clop has a brightly coloured and patterned body to attract baby’s attention. As they grow, babies quickly begin to recognise faces and familiar objects. Clip Clop’s cute face will quickly become an engaging and familiar friend to baby.
